We are looking for a Mechanical/Fuel Cell Technologist to help build and test our prototype fuel cell products, evaluate performance and make recommendations for design improvements.  The main responsibility for the Mechanical/Fuel Cell Technologist is to help Angstrom Power’s Product Development team with the assembly, building, testing and improvement of Angstrom’s Micro-hydrogenTM systems and prototypes.

Responsibilities:

Specific tasks and approximate weight include, but are not limited to, the following:

  •  Assembling and testing fuel cells and fuel cell system prototypes and demonstration devices.
  •  Troubleshooting prototypes, documenting performance and making recommendations for improvements to the product development team.
  •  Inspecting incoming parts for conformance to specifications.
  •  Tracking and organizing inventory of raw materials, components, fabricated parts, and fuel cells necessary for building fuel cell system prototypes.
  • Organizing and maintaining prototype assembly area of lab.
  •  Documenting fabrication and assembly procedures for transferring knowledge to production personnel.
 
 
Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience assembling and testing small mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Familiar with electro-mechanical products and chemical processes, with fuel cell or battery experience an asset.
  • Excellent mechanical skills and aptitude.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team (excellent interpersonal and communication skills).
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
