The Manager, Regulatory Affairs will lead the ongoing development of international regulations and standards as required to commercialize Micro Hydrogen™ technology on a global scale. The Manager, Regulatory Affairs is responsible for identifying critical standards and regulatory requirements, defining workplans as necessary to create these standards and requirements and ensure they are in effect in a timely manner relative to the introduction of Angstrom’s Micro Hydrogen™ products. In addition, the Manager, Regulatory Affairs will work with other teams within Angstrom to ensure prototypes and products are in compliance with the standards and regulations so as not to impede the commercialization of the technology. This function extends to all aspects of Angstrom product technology including on-board fuel cell power sources for portable applications, portable refueling devices and larger scale infrastructure technologies for device refueling.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides company representation to safety standards committees, including ISO, IEC, and CGA
  • Leads company participation in international, US, Canadian, Japanese and European regulatory development
  • Develops of standards / regulatory roadmaps for new devices related to refueling and infrastructure
  • Leads development of plans and oversees compliance testing of Angstrom devices
  • Provides general program management support
 
 
Qualifications:

  • Experience with International Standards Development, preferably related to safety
  • Experience with Dangerous Goods regulations, with processes for changing regulations and definition of best practise
  • Knowledge of hydrogen safety standards, codes and regulations
  • Experience in safety and compliance testing
  • Good people skills, patience, skill and diplomacy to work productively in a highly politicized environment
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Engineering or other technical degree
